Hello, my name is Andrew Henderson. I started Thrive Body Clinic because I wanted to make a real difference to individuals, helping them recover from injuries, manage longer term conditions and improve their overall wellbeing. To enhance my knowledge I’m currently studying a 5 year degree to be an Osteopath.
Our first appointment will include postural and range of movement assessments, and a visual / manual assessment of areas of pain, before treatment.
Sports Massage Therapy
Massage can help with everyday aches and pains, postural imbalances, aid the recovery processes between training sessions, improve blood circulation and tissue mobility, prevent injury and enhance sporting performance. You do not need to be an athlete or sports person to benefit from a sports massage.
I use a mixture of Sports Therapy and Osteopathic techniques to alleviate pain, improve muscle imbalances, and increase joint range of motion and mobility.
Massage techniques to stimulate the blood supply, reduce pain, relax muscles, make joints more mobile, restore strength, and help to repair damaged tissues and injuries.
Wellness massage uses slow, deep & light massage strokes to release muscle tension, encourage whole-body relaxation and rejuvenation. Areas of focus tend to be head, neck, shoulders, upper & lower back or thighs & calves.
Each session will focus on the areas of tension you are feeling on the day.
